الشارقة تفتح أبواب مهرجان الذيد للعسل، مما يعكس رؤية غرفة الشارقة في دعم قطاع النحالين وتشجيع الإنتاج المحلي.Organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Expo City Zayed, the second edition of "Zayed Festival for Honey" kicked off on Thursday evening, with over 70 participants from a coterie of traders, honey producers, companies specialized in honey production and families producing honey, showcasing an economic and cultural event aimed at supporting the honey industry and encouraging local production, promoting channels of communication with the public.
Inaugurated by Abdullah Sultan Al Oways, chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry's board of directors, accompanied by Salem Ali Maheri, president of Sharjah City Council, Walid Abdul Rahman Bu Khatar, second deputy chairman of the chamber's board of directors, and a number of its members, Mohamed Ahmed Amine Awadi, general manager, Mohamed Mashbah Al Tanji, festival coordinator, and leaders of municipal councils in the central and eastern regions, as well as a number of managers and officials and representatives of government agencies participating.
The attendees wandered through the festival's halls, where they browsed exhibitions showcasing diverse honey varieties, impressed by the quality of products that reflect significant advancements in Emirati honey producers' methods. "We want to highlight the economic potential available in various Sharjah areas and invest them for economic diversification," said Abdullah Sultan Al Oways.
The chamber aims to support the honey industry through these events, highlighting its contribution to maintaining food security nationwide and meeting national strategic objectives for food security by 2051.
