This scenario might seem like the plot of a dystopian novel, but researchers at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) have demonstrated that it's possible using everyday WiFi networks.

A study presented last November at the ACM's Conference on Computer and Communications Security revealed that ordinary WiFi signals can be used to identify individuals with 99. 5% accuracy.
